UN Women is a United Nations institution dedicated to gender equality and women's empowerment. It was founded to accelerate progress in fulfilling the needs of women and girls around the world.
UN Women assists UN Member States in setting global standards for gender equality, and collaborates with governments and civil society to develop the laws, policies, programs, and services required to guarantee that the standards are properly implemented to benefit women and girls worldwide effectively.
It works globally to make the vision of the Sustainable Development Goals come true for specifically women and girls, and it advocates for women's equal involvement in all parts of life.
